Mannog Zips Rio Grande (Rio) and Mannog Zips Candy Man (Fred) had an outing on Saturday 14th June at the Sioe Amaethyddol Dyffryn Ogwen at Bethesda, North Wales.  Really busy little agricultural show with loads going on surrounded by mountains forming part of Snowdonia - a lovely setting.

As I am busy judging (just returned from three days APHC Holland) it was nice to find a show on a Saturday as I was judging again on the Sunday so decided it was time to get the two boys out to play and see a bit of the world again.  They were great, not at all troubled by the busy scene although did take a good look at the three donkeys!! As you would expect in North Wales the Welsh A, B , C  & D's were there in abundance with some lovely but very naughty Section A foals and some full on stallions.

Classes for us were limited but it was only a fun trip out and as it was so hot we left immediately after the two classes.

Odd coloured (cremello, perlino, roans, spotted) 1st Fred  3rd Rio (not very spotted!)

Foreign Breeds   1st Fred   2nd Rio (personally I would have had them the other way round as Rio is such a super halter type but that is judging for you !)

Had a lot of people coming up and asking about the boys,  their  breeding etc so we hopefully educated a few that Appaloosas are a BREED and not a colour.
